James "Jim" DuBois Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

James "Jim" DuBois, 76, of California, MO, passed away on June 13, 2021, Villa Marie in Jefferson City. He was born October 13, 1944, in Kankakee, Illinois, the son of Lester and Ruth (Miller) DuBois, both of whom preceded him in death. He graduated from West Plains High School in 1962. He served in the US Navy from Feb. 1963-Feb. 1967 as an E-4. Jim was married to Vickie on January 23, 1970, in Jefferson City. Jim and Vickie were most well known for operating the local Pizza Hut from 1980-1998. After working at Pizza Hut, Jim worked for Moniteau County as a field appraiser. Jim loved road trips, watching westerns, NASCAR, and camping. He enjoyed being a grandpa. Jim is survived by daughters Chrissy Oswald (Denis) of California and Tish Marcum of Holts Summit; 4 Grandchildren, Dustin Oswald, Pensacola, FL, Brigget Dent (Jake), Shaylee Oswald, and Candra Powell; 6 Great-grandchildren, Rian, Dylan, Harper, and Kolten Dent, and Easton and Averlee Oswald; 3 Sisters, Joyce Eisert, Barbara Baker, and Shirley Smith; 1 Brother, Richard DuBois; his mother-in-law, Joan White; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his wife Vickie on May 1, 2020, and a sister, June Higginbotham. A Celebration of Jim's life will be announced later.
