Peggy Borghardt Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Peggy Borghardt, 90, of Jamestown, MO, passed away on January 3, 2021, at her home. She was born June 15, 1930, in Cooper County, Missouri, the daughter of Porter and Lydia (Williams) Long. She graduated from Bunceton High School in 1949. After High School, she graduated from Central Missouri State College-Warrensburg. She taught at Felder School near Prairie Home. Peggy was married to Hugo Borghardt on December 20, 1950, at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Hood officiating. Later, Peggy worked for Cargill, Inc. for 33 years until she retired in 2006. Peggy was a loving mother and a farmer's wife. Peggy is survived by her son, William Borghardt of Jamestown; two grandchildren, David (Adrienna) Borghardt of Prairie Home, and Debbie (Stephen) Derendinger of Jamestown, 4 Great-grandchildren, Wyatt Borghardt, Cole Theissen, Austin Borghardt, and Sydney Derendinger; a sister, Frances Evans of Oak Grove; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Henry Lee Long, and a sister, Leola Tuttle. Visitation will be on Thursday, January 7, 2021, 11:00 am - 12:30 pm at Windmill Ridge Funeral Service. Private Family Graveside Services will be held at St. Paul's Evangelical Cemetery with Rev. David Griffith officiating. Memorials are suggested to St. Paul's Evangelical Cemetery.
