Judy L. Willis
January 15, 1945 - February 19, 2022
Judy Willis, 77, of Tipton, MO, left her earthly home on Saturday, February 19, 2022, surrounded by loved ones to be with our heavenly Lord. Judy was born on January 15, 1945, in Kansas City, MO, the youngest daughter of Orval & Maude (Davenport) Smith, who preceded her in death. She graduated from High Point School. She worked at California Manufacturing for over 30 years as a seamstress. She worked at Dixon Ticonderoga until they closed. Judy worked at the California library, which she loved until she retired in 2009. Judy was a very artistic person creating beautiful quilts and paintings, all of which were freehand. She had a love for her family that was felt by all. On December 19, 2009 Judy was united in marriage to the love of her life Donald Willis. Their journey of love was seen by all. Along with her parents, Judy was preceded in death by two sons, Jimmy Williams and infant Christopher Lee Brown; one brother, Jim Brown; one sister-in-law, Bonnie Brown; two sisters Edna Luper, and Ruth Schagemann. Judy leaves behind her loving husband Donald of the home; 2 sons, Timothy Williams (FL), Lyle (Tisha) Brown, JR., (Latham); 3 daughters, Patricia Williams (SC), Deborah (Charley) Cary, Laura (Jamie) Miller (California). Her lifelong friend she called her little sister Eva (Dave) Carpenter (Clarksburg), her nephew Steve (Sandy) Brown (California); 11 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. I can hear my mom saying, " I would hope when I stand before God at the end of my life I would not have a single bit of talent lost and could say I used everything you gave me." Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm with a Celebration of Life following with Rev. Ken Chapman officiating at Windmill Ridge Funeral Service. Interment will follow at California Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Flag Spring Baptist Church. Online condolences can be given at www.windmillridgefuneralservice.com.
